Principal's Message
Highland East serves more than 750 seventh and eighth grade students. Our school has a rich tradition of excellence and longevity, built on the strong relationships between our students, families, and dedicated faculty. Many of our current students are generational Cougars, with parents and family who once walked through these same halls.
I am proud to serve as the principal at Highland East, a place that is especially meaningful to me as an alum. I attended Highland East as a Freshmen and am a proud Moore Lion Alum. Moore is unique in that it feels very much like a “big, small town,” and our school reflects that spirit of community and connection. Together, we are continuing to build and grow a strong school community where students feel empowered to be their best selves.
We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment where every student feels included and valued. To support this, we have developed a Cougar Creed that aligns with the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Our hope is that students not only practice these habits during their time at Highland East but also carry these principles with them throughout their lives.
Our goal is to develop strong Cougar citizens who step into Moore High School with pride in themselves and in their school community. With the support of our families and staff, we are confident that our students will continue to grow into leaders who make a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom.
