Moore Public Schools announced their list of nonprofits selected to receive a Moore Love funding grant for the 2026-27 school year. All funds generated by the 35 MPS school sites go directly to the nonprofits after final collections are completed at the end of February.

The Moore Love philanthropic initiative began during the 2017-18 school year. This is the 10th year of Moore Love, which has a focus on engaging the MPS community to unite as one fundraising powerhouse to help fight hunger, heal hurts and provide funding for real solutions.

Superintendent Leadership Academy (SLA) students from Moore, Westmoore and Southmoore high schools selected the nonprofits to receive grants in July 2026, after hearing presentations during Pitch Day. SLA students also drive fundraising efforts for their high schools and assist junior high and elementary students with fundraising ideas.

The Moore Love 2027 beneficiaries are:

- Regional Food Bank: Backpack for Kids Program: MPS works with the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank to provide food in backpacks for approximately 700 MPS elementary students without enough food at home to sustain them over the weekend. MPS also has food pantries at many junior highs and high schools for older students.

- Moore Fire Department: According to their Facebook page, "The Moore Fire Department's Santa Express is a nonprofit organization that uses 100% of donations and contributions to provide needed gifts to underprivileged children in our community during the Christmas season... Firefighters buy toys for kids, bag them up and send them off on a Moore fire truck."

- Moore Faith Medical Clinic: They started their health, medical clinic and pharmacy nonprofit in 2015 to address the one in four Oklahomans who go without medical care. Many times, those without medical care and poor health get into situations that compound, including missed work, job loss, bankruptcy, homelessness and more. Moore Faith Medical Clinic volunteers have served patients and provided more than 80,000 hours of support to community members in need.

- OKC Relief Center: OKC Relief Center's website states, "Our mission is to compassionately serve the greater Oklahoma City community by providing essential resources— including food, hygiene items, and clothing— to individuals and families from infancy through adulthood, while honoring the dignity and worth of every individual... We provide food assistance, clothing support, toiletries, household Items, encouragement, care and a safe, welcoming space where families are met with compassion and support."

The set fundraising month for Moore Love is February, but MPS students begin fundraising activities for their intra-district competition almost as soon as school starts in August. MPS has 22,250 students and approximately 3,230 staff members throughout 35 school sites. The strength of MPS schools, students, families and MPS employees working together to raise funds has been tremendous.
We are ready to get to work with our students and staff and raise money for these worthy agencies. The work these nonprofits do benefits our communities and our students and we’re excited to give back.

Last year, the Moore Love initiative raised $310,000 that went to local nonprofits with programs and services that support students and families in the MPS district. Moore Love applications are open from May 1-31 each spring on the MPS website.
